Patricia “Penny” Randall

Randall 2Randall#1FORT EDWARD – Patricia “Penny” Mary Randall, 70, of Fort Edward, passed away on February 28, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on July 31, 1947 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Mary (LaPoint) Pattee, Jr.

Penny attended grade school in Hudson Falls and then moved to South Glens Falls and graduated from South High in June of 1967.

She also graduated from Austin Beauty School in Albany, where she received her NYS License.

On April 7, 1968, Penny married Raymond F. Randall at the First Baptist Church in Hudson Falls, officiated by Rev. George Bishop.  They honeymooned in Quebec.

Penny joined her husband, who was stationed in Germany for two years and was able to travel extensively throughout Europe.  A highpoint in her life was meeting her grandmother, Olive Pattee and many acquaintances in London, while on a Sandy Hill tour.

Her first job was which Jarts in South Glens Falls and after receiving her hair dressing license, she worked in several shops in the area.   Penny left her hair dressing career to work at NAMIC in Hudson Falls, then transitioning through the purchasing companies from Schneider, Boston Scientific, Phizer and finally retiring from Angio Dynamics in Oncology packaging on August 29, 2013.

She was an avid NCAA basketball fan for both men and women, Knicks basketball and the Siena Saints.  Penny loved watching NASCAR and enjoyed traveling to all their venues up and down the east coast.

She was and eclectic music fan of all music genres.  Penny attended several music festivals, Broadway Shows and was lucky enough to see many of the 40’s big bands in person, before their demise.  Because music was so important to her, she was a past member of the Capitol Area Blues Association, Northeast Blues Society, Northeast Country Music Association and the Adirondack Bluegrass League.

Her biggest enjoyment was reading. She read several books a week and was a regular at the Hudson falls Library.

Penny also loved shelties, including the family pet sheltie, Mindy.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her mother in law, Dorothy Randall and her father in law, Howard Randall.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Randall of the town of Fort Edward; her step father, John Paul Lebrun of South Glens falls; her step brother, Anthony Lebrun of Glens Falls; her children, Kevin Randall and his wife, Stacey Randall of Greenwich and Allison Randall of Hubbardton, Vermont; her grandchildren, Megan and Morgan Randall, both of Greenwich and Katelyn and Evan Kennett of Hubbardton, Vermont.

Friends may call on Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls,

A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
