Mary L. Gordon

GLENS FALLS – Mary L. Gordon, 85, a resident of The Pines for the last three years, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 6, 2019.

Born on January 13, 1934 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Florence Fiorillo.

Her husband Joseph Gordon passed away in 2010.

Mary was a life member of VFW post 6196 Ladies Auxiliary in Glens Falls.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one son, John Gordon; her brothers, James Fiorillo and Guy Fiorillo; and her sister, Margaret Mills.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Gordon and his wife, Martha of Fort Ann; a daughter, Margaret Monteleone of Hudson Falls; a daughter, Marie Bushey of Virginia; a son, Richard Gordon and his wife, Anne of Argyle; a daughter, Joan Gordon of Luzerne; a daughter, Theresa Davis and her husband, Jody of Kingsbury; a son, Guy Gordon and his wife, Debbie of Moreau; her grandchildren, Matt and Melissa Gordon, Josh Gordon, Jennifer Bliss, Justin-Collin Bushey and Amanda-Lynn Edwardson, Crystal and Amber Walden , Jessica Davis and Bradford and William Gordon; many great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother, John Fiorillo and his wife, Shirley of Hudson Falls; a brother-in-law, Edward Gordon of Hudson Falls; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Sawn of Glens Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. following the calling hours at the funeral home with Deacon William Bazinet, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will be at the convenience of the family.

The family wishes to thank the administration and, especially, the 3rd floor staff at The Pines for their care and devotion to Mary during her stay.

Mary E. Broderick

Broderick, MaryGLENS FALLS – Mary E. Broderick, 88, of Glens Falls, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Stanton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Queensbury, after a long illness.

Born on September 22, 1928, in Clinton Corners, she was the daughter of the late James and Clara (Bedell) Masterson.

Mary was married to her beloved husband, Joe Broderick, until his passing in 1985.

After her husband’s passing, she worked for many years at Sears.

Mary was a member of the Frist Presbyterian Church in Hudson Falls. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Stockwell; and her brother, Clarence Masterson.

Survivors include, her four children, Joseph “Mike” Broderick of Fort Edward, Deborah A.McNeil and her companion, Ronald Corey of Salem, Kelly J. Broderick and his wife, Amanda of St. Augustine, FL, Craig T. Broderick and his wife, Molly of Woodstock, GA; her six grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, George Masterson of Saratoga Springs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson Falls.

A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. at the Church following calling hours, with Reverend Michael Plank, pastor, officiating.

A burial will be private.

Mary J. Green

GLENS FALLS – Mary J. Green, 84, of Glens Falls and formally of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully, at her home, on Sunday, October 9, 2016, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Her loving family was there to support her journey to heaven to be with her husband, Walt.
Born on May 29, 1932, in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (Campbell) Danahy.
Mary was a true caregiver, in her younger years, she took care of many children. When her grandchildren arrived, Mary was in her glory, nurturing and loving them beyond all measure. Her only employment out of the home was as a home health care aid. She always knew what to do to make someone else feel better.
Mary was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Mary was a generous volunteer for the handicapped, the Bloodmobile, Cancer Society, St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Choir, Catholic Daughters and the Cub Scouts.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Walter Green, her two sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by her son and full time caregiver, Stephen Green (Linda); and her adoring daughter, Patricia Green Hafner (Lee); her grandchildren, Walter Green (Denise), Jennifer Green Kadien (Jerry), William Hafner (Courtney) and James Hafner (Sharon); her five great grandchildren, Ashlee, Mary Jane, Stephen, Bentley and Jack; her three great-great grandchildren, Jaden, John, Jr. and Keegan; several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls.
The family would like to thank Cindy for all her loving care. They would also like to thank Marcia, Autumn, Kristy, Rose, Jody and Dr. Love. You were all instrumental in keeping mom at home and her family truly appreciates all you have given to make that happen.
Family and friends are welcome to a celebration of Mary’s life, at her daughter’s home, 87 Crawford Lane in Hudson Falls, following the Rite of Committal.
