Logan A. Dean

DeanGLENS FALLS – Logan A. Dean, 26, of Wing Street, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014, after a long struggle with diabetes.

Born March 2, 1988, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Floyd E. and Doreen (Goodman) Dean of Florida.

Logan graduated in 2006 from South Glens Falls High School.  While in high school he studied culinary arts at F.D. Myers Center in Saratoga.   Logan continued his education at SUNY Adirondack , working on a degree in Culinary Arts.  For many years, Logan did what he loved by working as a cook at Abbotts in South Glens Falls.  Currently he was employed at Target Warehouse in Gansevoort.

He enjoyed golfing, four-wheeling with family and going fishing.  Logan was an avid band member, where he played the trombone.  He also loved listening to country music.  Logan loved watching baseball, basketball and football. His favorite team was the New York Giants.   He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Logan was predeceased by his grandparents,  James and Doris Goodman and Irving and Mary Dean.

Survivors include his siblings, Matthew Dean and his wife, Jodi of Glens Falls, Timothy Dean of Vero Beach, Heather Clark and her companion, John Williams of Salem, Kody Dean of Elmira, Lizabeth Dean and her companion, Jeffrey Strainer of Hartford and Danyal Dean and his companion, Melissa of South Glens Falls; his brother in law, Jody Clark of Glens Falls; six nieces and nephews, Brittany Clark, Evan Dean, Brianna Clark, Emma Dean, Emma Strainer and Kaelyn Strainer; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.

The funeral service will follow calling hours at 1 pm on Saturday at the funeral home with The Reverend Tony Childs, officiating.

Burial will follow the funeral at Southside Cemetery in the town of Moreau.
