Lois Kelley

HUDSON FALLS – Lois Kelley, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 following a long illness.

Born on October 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Margaret (Penders) Bartlett.

On December 26, 1953, she married her husband, Clarence Kelley. They were married for 63 wonderful years before he passed away in 2016.

Lois was never a fan of animals until her family bought her “Sassy” who changed her world. She also loved playing golf and card nights with her siblings. Lois enjoyed baking and was known as the “Pie Lady” to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Kelley; her son, Darrin Kelley; a grandson, Richard Kelley; and her siblings, Dennis Bartlett, John Bartlett, Gillette Bartlett, Richard “Dick” Bartlett, Margaret Prevost and Pat Foster.

Survivors include her son, Howard Kelley and his wife, Karen; her daughter, Kathleen Sweet and her significant other, Brook Waters; her grandchildren, Howard Kelley, Jr. and his wife, Val, Angela Kelley, Jeremy Kelley, Charles Passno, Dina Passno, Shawn Sweet, Lucy Sweet, Darrin Kelley, Jr., Kristin Kelley and Breanna Kelley; her sisters, Lona Jennings, Cindy Porter, Marilla Washburn, Michelle Kelley and Ann of Florida; her brothers, Clayton Bartlett, Lee Bartlett, Larry Bartlett and David Bartlett; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and great-grandchildren.

As per the family’s request, there will be no services.

Clarence “Tink” Kelley

kelley-cHUDSON FALLS – Clarence “ Tink” Kelley , 83, of County Route 41, Notre Dame Street Extension, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016

Born on October 27, 1933 in Hudson Falls, he was the son the late Howard and Lucy (Greene) Kelley.

Clarence was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy. Following his discharge, he married Lois Bartlett on December 26, 1952 at the Christ Methodist Church in Glens Falls.

He was employed by General Electric and then at Ciba Geigy for over 22 years. After leaving Ciba Geigy, Clarence continued his education at State University at Cobleskill as a butcher.   He worked at the Grand Union in various local stores as a butcher and more recently, was employed at Continuous Care.

Clarence enjoyed hunting and fishing all over the Adirondacks. He loved playing his guitar, especially playing with area musicians at local nursing homes.  Clarence loved to entertain with his music.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed.  Clarence was an honorable man, respected by everyone that met him.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his three brothers, Miles Kelley, Eugene Kelley, and Walter Kelley, as well as his sister, Beatrice Beckwith, and his grandson, Richard Kelley.

Survivors include, his wife of 64 years, Lois Kelley of Hudson Falls; his three children, Howard Kelley and his wife, Karen, of Hudson Falls, Kathleen Sweet and her companion, Brook Waters of Lake luzernend Darrin Kelley of Hudson Falls; his grandchildren, Howard Kelley, Jr., Angela Kelley, Jeremy Kelley, Charles Passno, Dina Passno, Shawn Sweet, Lucy Sweet, Darrin Kelley, Jr. and Breanna Kelley; several great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Gerald B. H. Soloman – Saratoga National Cemetery in the town of Stillwater.

Richard “Ricky” Kelley

WHITEHALL – Richard “Ricky” Kelley, 39, of Whitehall, passed away, unexpectedly, on June 29, 2013.

Born on April 16, 1974, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Howard and Karen (LaCarte) Kelley.

Ricky was a 1993 graduate of Whitehall High School and on February 15, 2010, he married Debra “Debbie” Card.

Ricky worked for Whitehall Plywood and most recently at Champlain Beef, also in Whitehall.

He loved to fish with his children, Trenton and Brennan.   His passion was to  golf with anyone that would go with him, especially with his dad, wife, sons, Trenton and Brennan and his brothers.   Ricky was a huge Jets and Yankee Fan.   He had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone.  The center of his life was his family.  Ricky loved his wife and his children deeply.  He was known as “Uncle Ricky” to many of the children, who loved to be near his fun loving spirit.  Ricky was also a wonderful cook.  He could make the most delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Ricky’s favorite saying was “Later” … never say goodbye because it is forever.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Marvin and Caroline LaCarte.

Survivors include his wife, Debra “Debbie” Kelley of Whitehall; his children, Trenton Card, Anthony Kelley, Matthew Ricketts; his step son, Brennan Card; his parents, Howard and Karen Kelley of Hudson Falls;  his grandparents, Clarence and Lois Kelly of Hudson Falls; his brother Jeremy Kelley of Lake Luzerne and Howard Kelley, Jr. of Lake Luzerne; his sister, Angela Kelley of Syracuse; his uncles, Joseph LaCarte, Michael LaCarte and Darrin Kelley; his aunts, Marva Foster, Annette Burns and Kathy Sweet; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.
