Joyce M. (Coveleski) Ellis

FORT EDWARD – Joyce M. (Coveleski) Ellis, 81, of Fort Edward passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at her home, with her family by her side.

Born on January 6, 1938 in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Omiecinski) Coveleski.

She attended St. Mary’s grade school and was a 1955 graduate of Hudson Falls High School.

On October 23, 1955, she married Robert Ellis.

She worked for many years at the Fashion Shop in Glens Falls, then retired from Genpak.

Joyce loved hockey and was a season ticket holder for the Adirondack Red Wings, as well as an active member of the Booster Club. She was a participant in the Relay For Life as a Cancer Survivor. Most importantly, she never missed one of her grandchildren’s accomplishments or sporting events.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Anthony F. Coveleski, Jr. and her infant brother, Joseph A. Coveleski.

Survivors include her two children, Ann Marie Williams and her husband, Dennis of Fort Edward and Robert Ellis and his wife, Pamela of Argyle; four grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Denny Williams and his wife, Kristi, Ashley Ellis and Dylan Ellis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to all who helped in Joyce’s care over the last 3 months, especially her caregiver, Lisa who was by her side when she passed.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Steve McClean, Pastor of the Argyle Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the Town of Fort Edward.

Joyce B. Aubrey

aubreyHUDSON FALLS – Joyce B. Aubrey, 82, of Hudson Falls, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at her home.

Born on June 16, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Sophie (Parker) Smith.

For most of her life, Joyce was a homemaker who loved her family.

She was a 41year member of the G Greater Glens Falls Bible Baptist Church in Hudson Falls.   Joyce loved her church and the Lord.  She also loved her beloved cat, Sam.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Johnson Smith and George Smith and her sisters, Shirley Horton, Martha Tamaro and Doris Blake.

Survivors include her children, Carlyn Johnson and her husband, Scott of Syracuse, Mary Aubrey and her partner, Mel Dutcher of Hudson Falls and Mark Aubrey and his wife, Teresa of Fort Edward; her grandchildren, Ashlee, Andrew and Danielle Aubrey and Sean Hurd; her sisters, Betty Smith of Hudson Falls, Pauline Perrotte of South Glens Falls, Norma LaRock of Hudson Falls and Charlotte Girard of Glens Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m. on Monday, September, 19, 2016 at the Carleton Funeral home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, following the calling hours, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Guy Goodell, pastor of the Greater Glens Falls Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Morningside Cemetery in the town of Hartford.

Joyce’s family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
