Alice Henderson

SOUTH GLENS FALLS – Alice Henderson, 73, went into the arms of the Lord, after a short illness, on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on September 24, 1946 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Evelyn (LaRoe) McClouth.

On February 13, 1966, she married Clark Henderson at the First Baptist  Church in Hudson Falls.  He passed away on August 18, 1997.

Alice enjoyed her family and loved surprises.  She took great pride in planting her flowers and watching them grow.   Alice found great pleasure in listening to smooth jazz and watching movies.   She was very proud to have supplied wonderful meals, such as pots full of chili, beef stew and spaghetti and meatballs to the guys who worked with her husband, Clark in the boiler house at Finch Pruyn.

Alice was an independent lady who had definite opinions. She had to have life her way, or no way.  Although she always stood her ground, Alice could be persuaded to do anything for her loving grandson, Benjamin.

She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her family.

Besides her parents and husband, Alice was predeceased by her brother, Ted McClouth and her sister, Colleen Burgess.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Denton and her husband, Karl of South Glens Falls; her grandson, Benjamin Denton, also of South Glens Falls; and her sister, Marsha Pachamay of Mass.
