Edmund T. Haynes

HUDSON FALLS – Edmund T. Haynes, 75, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on October 30, 2018.

Born on March 8, 1943 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Harlon T. and Dorothy Mae (Christian) Haynes.

Edmund attended Hudson Falls Schools and soon after, married the love of his life, Patricia Christian in Whallonsburg, NY.

For 35 years, Edmund worked for Pallets in Fort Edward and following his retirement, he was employed at the Sagamore in Bolton Landing, for ten years.

Edmund was an avid hunter and was a member of the Hudson Falls Fish & Game Club.  For several years he was a member of the Mohican Archery Club and also the Shenandoah Archery Club.

Edmund was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.  He also spent many hours in his workshop creating beautiful pieces of wood.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Haynes, his sisters, Dora Haynes, Wilma Haynes and Virginia Haynes, two infant sons, Larry Haynes and Leslie Haynes and an infant granddaughter, Sara Stone-Haynes.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Haynes of Hudson Falls; his four children, Sue Ann Brandt of South Glens Falls, Karen Monroe (Steven) of Ocala, Florida, Carmen Moses of Glens Falls and Michael Haynes (Kari) of Ocala, Florida; nine grandchildren, Joshua Stone (Kneesaa), Brittany Almy, Jared Stone, Cory Leombruno, Jasmine Pinellas (Latrell), Emily Moses, Jacob Haynes, Caleb Haynes and Zachariah Haynes; 11 great grandchildren, Joshua Stone, Richard Stone, Kristofer Wadsworth, Logan Wadsworth, Ryan Wadsworth, Jordan Almy, Autumn Almy, Jade Hoins, Adrieanna Nason, Jason Pinellas and Aiden Pinellas; his siblings, Richard Haynes (Judy), Linda Haynes-Sharipro, Lloyd Haynes (Anna), Boyd Haynes (Linda), Ronald Haynes and Howard Haynes (Holly); several nieces, nephews and cousins; and John Crossman and Michael Needham, whom he considered as sons.

A celebration of life will be held on November 9, 2018, 4 pm to 8 pm at the Eagles Lodge, 80 Main Street in South Glens Falls.

Arrangements are under the care of the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Raymond H. Haynes

ATHOL – Raymond H. Haynes, 63, of Athol, went into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2013 after a long illness.

Born on February 27, 1950, in Glens Falls he was the son of the late Harlon and Dorothy (Christian) Haynes.

He attended Hudson Falls High School.

On December 8, 1977, he married Polly Ward.

Ray owned and operated PA Haynes logging for many years.  He loved deep sea fishing, hunting and antique trucks.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by an infant sister Virginia Haynes.

Ray is survived by his twin brother, Richard H. Haynes and his wife, Judy of Ocala, FL, his brothers and sisters,  Dora Haynes of Cohoes, Edmund Haynes and his wife, Patricia of Hudson Falls Wilma Haynes of Hudson Falls, Linda Haynes of Longmeadow, MA, Boyd Haynes and his wife, Linda of Mineville, Lloyd Haynes and his wife Anna of North Hudson, Ronald Haynes of Cherry Plains, Howard Haynes and his wife, Holly of Fairfax Stratton, VA; his wife Polly Haynes of Athol; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his brother in law and best friend Wayne and Beverly Ward of Granville; and his dog Blackie.

A celebration of Ray’s life will take place at Haviland’s Cove in Glens Falls on Saturday, July 20, 2013, starting at noon.

His family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Renal Dialysis Center, C/O the Glens Falls hospital, 100 Park St., Glens Falls, NY, 12801
