Gilbert Carson Morehouse

QUEENSBURY – Gilbert Carson Morehouse, II, 38, of Queensbury passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at home.

Born on October 20, 1980 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Gilbert Carson Morehouse. and Florence J. Corentto Rice of Queensbury.

Gilbert had a passion for motorcycles. He was an animal lover, especially his dogs, Crunch and Pretty girl. Gilbert was a huge fan of music and some of his favorite bands include: Phish and Grateful Dead. His family meant the world to him and he loved movie nights with his nephew, Hayden. Above everything, the most important thing in his life was his son, Antonio.

Gilbert is predeceased by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to his mother, Florence and father, Gilbert, he is survived by his son, Antonio Carson Morehouse of Hadley; his sister, Kara Rice of Queensbury; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Following the calling hours, all are welcome to a gathering at the family home, 43 Central Avenue, Queensbury, NY 12804.

Christopher Gilbert

GilbertGRANVILLE – Christopher Gilbert, 77, of Granville. , passed away on Saturday April 15, 2017.

Born on May 19, 1939, in Guildford Surrey, England, Christopher was the son of the late Roland and Kathleen (Reynolds) Gilbert.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961. Christopher was proud to have become a U.S. citizen while serving his country. He then was employed by UPS for over 35 years until his retirement. While at UPS he developed friendships with the many people he encountered on his delivery routes. In his retirement, Christopher became very attentive to his goats and chickens, which he found a real joy in providing them care. He enjoyed listening to music, especially gospel bluegrass and country music.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Pamela (Moran) Gilbert, and several brothers and sisters.

Christopher is survived by his five children: Michelle Gilbert and her loving companion, Stanley Bradley, Jr. of Hartford, Paul Gilbert and his wife, Alizona of Hudson, CO, James Gilbert and wife, Carrie of Whitehall, Veronica Rozell and her husband, Brian of Whitehall, and Sally Rue and her husband, Bill of Hudson Falls; his three step-children: Andrew Smelik and his wife, Melissa of Georgia, Stacy Chapman and her husband Mark of Argyle, and Steven Smelik and his partner, Anthony of Florida; his many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; his brother, Dominck Gilbert of Albany; his three sisters: Mary Baker of Texas, Ann Drolet of South Carolina, and Louise Kruse of Chestertown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services with full military honors will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Morningside Cemetery in Hartford with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 574 of Hudson Falls providing
