Eugene Francis “Frank” LaMoy Jr.

LaMoy Old HUDSON FALLS – Eugene Francis “Frank” LaMoy Jr. was welcomed into the arms of our Lord on Dec. 6th 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 5, 1941, he was the son of the late Helen Irene (Flint) LaMoy and Eugene Francis LaMoy Sr.

Frank grew up in Glens Falls, graduating high school in 1960. He married Patricia Ann (Waite) LaMoy on April 8, 1960. Together they raised four children who he adored.

LaMoy YoungIn his younger years, Frank piloted aircrafts at Gorham Municipal Airport in New Hampshire.    He was a skilled craftsman, building several houses in the Kingsbury area with his close friend, Joseph Trackey.  Frank and his step-father, Charles Clark constructed large industrial boilers all around the New England area, including the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Plant in Vernon, VT.   Frank worked at and retired from Encore after 25 years as an accomplished pipe fitter.

Camping, fishing, boating and hunting are some of Frank’s many hobbies.    He was a proud member of The Owls Hunting Club in North Hudson.   The friendships Frank made, he held dear to his heart.      His love of fishing was passed on to his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia; their children, daughter, Elizabeth (Donald) Hewitt, son, Frank LaMoy, daughter, Stacia (Robert) Bonanno and son, Jason (Connie) LaMoy; sister, Jane (Richard) Choquette; grandchildren, Grant (Leslie) LaMoy, Dan (Holly) Hewitt, Matthew Hewitt, David Hewitt, Ryan Hewitt, Felicia Bonanno, Anthony Bonanno, Corey LaMoy, Parker Gugliotta, Nathan Bonanno, Adam Bonanno, Gianna LaMoy, Ivie LaMoy, and Jett LaMoy; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, a nephew and cousins.

Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, following the calling hours, at The Church of the Messiah, 296 Glen St. Glens Falls, with Father Karl Griswold-Kuhn, Rector officiating.

Burial will be in the spring at Moss Street Cemetery, Route 4 in the town of Kingsbury.

The family requests donations be made to a charity of his or her own choice.
