Earl R. Clemons, Jr.

PUTNUM STATION – Earl R. Clemons, Jr., 68, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, November 05, 2017 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at Union Cemetery in Fort Edward.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Joan K. Dickinson Clemons

ClemonsPUTNUM STATION – Joan K. Dickinson Clemons, 71, of Putnam Station, went into the arms of the Lord, on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Haynes House of Hope in Granville.

Born on January 27, 1944, in Moreau, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (LaFoy) Dickinson.

Joan was a graduate of St. Margaret’s Nursing College.

On October 29, 1988, she married Earl R. Clemons, Jr. in Fort Ann. In total, Joan and Earl have been together for 37 years.

For over 20 years, she worked at Hallmark Nursing Center in Glens Falls and for many years, Joan worked with the handicapped and elderly at WWARC,  ARC and at the Station.

She volunteered her time at the Thrift Shop in Crown Point and was a firefighter 23 years and auxiliary member of the Putnam Volunteer Fire Company.  Joan was the first woman in the Fire Advisory Board in Washington County.

In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her brother, Wallace “Skip” Dickinson and her foster parents, Elizabeth and James Mitchel.

Survivors include her husband, Earl R. Clemons, Jr. of Putnam Station; her children, Cheryl Roy and her husband, Carl of Glens Falls, Kevin Jordan and his wife, Kate of Milton, William Jordan of Glens Falls, Charles L. Jordan and James Jordan, both of Fort Edward, Mary McCoy of Queensbury; her step children, Kyle Clemons and his companion, Angela of Dresden, Thomas Clemons and his wife, Krissy of Whitehall and Darren Clemons of Glens Falls; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Myron “Mike” Dickinson and his wife, Maxine of Hudson Falls and Harriet Humanson of Hudson Falls; her foster brothers, Dickey Mitchel and Dave Mitchel and his wife, Barbara; her mother in law, Trudy Dixon; and several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special special companion, her dog, Little Buddy.

Friends may call on Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
