Hagan, Caroline1HUDSON FALLS– Caroline (Inglee) Hagan, 84, born and raised in Hudson Falls and residing in both South Glens Falls and West Monroe for most of her life.  She went into the arms of our good Lord, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

Born on March 2, 1933, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Madeline (Belden) Inglee.

After graduating from Hudson Falls High School in 1950, Caroline continued her education at St. Mary’s  School of Nursing in Amsterdam.   Upon graduation, she began a career in nursing at the Glens Falls Hospital, until the birth of her first child.

On April 10. 1955, Easter Sunday, she married Frederick Hagan at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hudson Falls.

Caroline put her nursing career on hold to raise her wonderful family of eight children, for which she felt blessed.    She was a caregiver in all aspects of her life.  Caroline was the most loving and beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, always putting her family’s needs first.

Besides centering her life around her beautiful family, her faith was also very important to her.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a brother, Bruce Inglee, her sisters, Diane Cronin and Dale Palmer, a son in law, Alan Bahr and her great grandson, Donovan Hagan.

Survivors include her husband, Frederick Hagan of South Glens Falls; her beloved children, Lisa Carruthers and her husband, Warren of Queensbury; Lynn Bahr of South Glens Falls, Diane Cardinale of CA, Daniel Hagan and his wife, Judy of Fulton, Mark Hagan and his wife, Fran of Marrietta, Sean Hagan of South Glens Falls, Douglas Hagan and his wife, Chris of West Monroe and Kerri and Andy DePalma of Fort Edward; her cherished grandchildren, Melissa (Sean) Quirk, Cambria (David) Carruthers, Lindsay (George) Carruthers, Warren Carruthers, Eric Bahr, Nicholas (Leah) Bahr, Benjamin Bahr, Ashley Bahr, Lauren (Michael) Cardinale, Christopher Cardinale, Josh (Katie) Hagan, Danielle (Adam) Osborne, Christopher (Keshia) Hagan, Brianna (Spencer) Horton, MacKenzie (Tim) Clark, Marcus (Allegra) Hagan, Kelly (Joe) Bosco, Eric Hagan, Nicholas Hagan, Catie Hagan, Brittany (Bryan) Hagan, Rob Hickey and Drew DePalma; her beloved great-grandchildren; Madyson, Ryan, Ava, Lyla, Luca, Lilly, Sage, Leyla, Mila, Lydea, Russell, Mitchell, Tyler, Nathaniel, Aubrie, Ashlyn, Audriana, Jax, Leo, Hunter and Jordan; her sisters, Claudia (Bill) Breeyear and Donzelle Collyer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Burgoyne Ave in the town of Fort Edward.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Mary’s/st. Paul’s Church, 11 Wall Street, Hudson Falls, NY  12839.
