Colleen was a 1959 graduate of Glens Falls High School.  Following her graduation, she worked as a waitress with her best friend Delores Devizzio at the luxury resort The Breakers in West Palm Beach, Florida.  In later years she also waitressed at local favorites Ridge Terrace and Red Fez Restaurant, as well as Warren’s Lobster House in Kittery, Maine. It was also while working at a restaurant in Maine, where Colleen met her lifelong friend Carol Baldinger who nicknamed her ‘Beanie’.

In 1978, after David’s retirement from the Seabees, they moved back to the area and settled in their home on Pattens Mills Road, Fort Ann.  Shortly after moving back, Colleen went to work for the papermill in South Glens Falls in the Converting Department. The mill had changed hands several times during her career before her retirement from SCA Tissue on January 11, 2008.

She was an active member of the Red Hat Society with her sisters.  Colleen loved to collect all kinds of dolls and had never met a dessert she didn’t like; she was known to look at the dessert menu first when she was out to eat.  Colleen enjoyed travelling and visited Canada, France, Italy and Ireland with her friend Bev Underwood, sometimes bringing the husbands along.  During the summers she could be found enjoying the family’s camp site on the Hudson River in South Glens Falls.  Throughout her life she has had many pets, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David Bullock who passed away in 1999, her siblings, Helen Bolton, Patricia Robichaud, Barbara Miller, Joseph “Buddy” Lashway and Gene Lashway.
