HUDSON FALLS – Brian Terry “Alfin” Smith, 31, passed away May 27, 2014 at Albany Medical Center after battling a long illness.
He was born March 12, 1982, in Glens Falls. Brian attended Hudson Falls School.
Brian had many enjoyments in life. He loved camping, fishing, poker, gambling, golfing, cooking, bonfires, and bowling. Brian loved spending time with his family and especially loved spending time with his mother and his dog, Bear.
Brian had a heart of gold; he would do anything for anyone. He went out of his way to make everyone around him happy and smiling.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Janet Foster.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Smith and Larry Carpenter; his father, Terry Smith; his brother Christopher Smith; his sister, Megan Sargent; his step brother, Larry Carpenter, Jr.; his grandmother, Jan Smith; his grandfather, George Smith; his two uncles, David Foster, Dean Schaefer; his three aunts, Jodie Foster, Connie Schaefer, Colleen Moreland; his cousins, Randy and Kayla Hodgkins; his son, Tyler Steves; as well as many friends.
There will be no services held.
An informal celebration of life will be held for family and friends, 11 a.m., on May 31, at Knapp Estate. Anyone needing further information may call Brian’s family.
Memorial donations can be made to any Liver Transplant Organization.
