Kim A. Armando

HUDSON FALLS – Kim A. Armando, 65, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on April 7, 1957, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Gabe Armando and the late Ruth (Cook) Armando.

Kim was a 1975 graduate of Hudson Falls High School.  She spent most of her childhood in Fort Edward.

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her longtime companion, James McDonald and her son, Jesse McDonald.

She is survived by her father, Gabe (Leslie) Armando of Queensbury; her daughter, Tiana (Jason) Fort Worth, Texas; her granddaughter, Lyllei Tranowicz of Fort Worth; her brother, David (Joan) Armando of Fort Edward; her sister, Laurie (Greg) Jandolenko of Peru; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Kim’s request there will be no public services, a private burial for the family is arranged for Spring.

FORT EDWARD – Ruth Cook Armando, 84, formerly of Bascom Drive, went into the arms of the Lord, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the Fort Hudson Health Care Facility.

Born on June 24, 1930, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian (Sheffield) Cook.

Ruth graduated from Fort Edward High School in 1947.

For 14 years, she worked at Hannaford’s Grocery Store on Quaker Road in Queensbury.

After leaving Fort Edward in 1996, Ruth moved to South Glens Falls for six years and then in 2002 to her G. Roswell Earl High Rise apartment in Hudson Falls.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.

Through the years, she won a number of trophies for golfing which was a great enjoyment that made her very proud.  Her most valued time was spent with children and grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Carolyn Wilsey.

Survivors include her son, David J. Armando and his wife, Joan of Fort Edward; two daughters, Kim A. Armando of South Glens Falls and Laurie J. Jandolenko and her husband, Greg of Plattsburgh; eight grandchildren, David Armando of Bolton Landing, Jeff, Kristen and Mollie Armando, all of Fort Edward, Tiana Armando and Jesse McDonald, both of South Glens Falls, Nikki Zupan of Chandler, Arizona and Eric Zupan of Philadelphia, PA., her great granddaughter, Lyllei Ryane;  her sister,  Mary Ellen Bowe of Hudson Falls; a brother, Clifford Cook and his wife, Marlene of Fort Edward; her brother in law, Carl Wilsey of Schoharie;  several nieces and nephews; and one cousin.

Friends may call from 10 to 12:00 p.m. , (Noon) on Monday , May 11, 2015 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 12:00 p.m., (Noon) on Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
