Sandie L. Hart

KINGSBURY – Sandie L. Hart, 66, of Kingsbury, joined her first born son, Artie in heaven, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 1, 1950, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Marion (Bombard) DuPell.

On September 28, 1968, she married Arthur Hart, Sr., at St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Sandie retired from Navalist Medical after more than 21 years of service.

She enjoyed camping, long car rides, lifetime movies, and was an avid NASCAR and Derek Jeter fan. Most of all, Sandie loved her family and friends, especially her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Artie Hart, Jr. her brother, Karl DuPell and her son in law, Kenny VanNess.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arthur Hart, Sr. of Kingsbury; her children, Shawn Hart of Kingsbury, Tina VanNess of Kingsbury, Jeffrey Hart of South Glens Falls, Melinda Suprenant and her husband, Mark of Fort Edward and Megan Catellier and her husband, Art of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Patrick VanNess, Stephanie VanNess, Crystal VanNess, Jordan Suprenant, Taylor Suprenant, Lacey Catellier and Aiden Catellier; her great grandson, Dominick VanNess; her two sisters, Phyllis Brann and her husband, William of Hudson Falls and Joan Fitzgerald of Georgia; her beloved dog, Molly; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended camp family at Bruce’s Campground in Fort Ann.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

The Rite of Committal will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.
