Stockwell, Robert Jr.QUEENSBURY- Robert N. “Bob” Stockwell, Jr., 63, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, at Glens Falls Hospital, with his loving wife, Karen and his nephew, Jacob by his side, following a life long battle with diabetes and its complications.

Born on January 1, 1955, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Esther (Bardin) Stockwell of Hudson Falls and the late Robert N. Stockwell, Sr.

On August 3, 1975, he married Karen Hodge in Queensbury.

He was employed in this area by many paint and hardware stores. He was well known for his unique ability to match paint.

Bob adored his two dachshunds, Yukie and Ellie, and taking vacations in Maine to see the ocean and the beach. He enjoyed swimming in his pool and hosting many barbeques at his home, where he would be surrounded by family. He loved the outdoors and chatting with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Karen of Queensbury; his son, Robert N. Stockwell, III and his wife, Kazumi of Japan; his granddaughter, Yukino of Japan; his mother, Esther (Bardin) Stockwell of Hudson Falls; his two brothers, Donald H. Stockwell and his wife, Nancy of Hudson Falls and their son, Adam and daughter, Michelle, Mark Stockwell and his wife, Colleen of Hudson Falls and their son, Mark S. Stockwell, Jr. and daughter, Mary Ellen Stockwell; his sister-in-law, Patricia Etu and her husband, Bob of Queensbury; his nephew, John F. Gibson, Jr. and his wife, Sherry and son, Jacob of Fort Edward; his nephew, William J. Gibson of Florida; his niece, Lori E. Powers of Granville and her son, Nicholas and daughter, Emily.

Bob’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Joseph Mihindu, who helped Bob through his many medical battles. A thank you to his sister-in-law, Pat Etu and her husband, Bob, for the many times they sat with Bob, giving him much needed comfort. Thank you to Kristine Hart, who was very helpful to Bob and Karen. Finally, a special thanks to the nurses and staff on Tower 3 at Glens Falls Hospital, for their selfless care to Bob and his family.

    We will miss you Bob, the pool cookouts the trips to Maine with you and Karen . The many breakfasts and birthday parties along with spending Xmas and Thanksgiving together.
