Robert L. Jones

 

HJones, Robert CUDSON FALLS- Robert L. Jones, Jr. 62, of Hudson Falls, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Glens Falls Hospital after a long illness.

Born on March 10, 1955 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Jenn (Leach) Jones of Hudson Falls. and the late John Jones.

On April 7, 1973, he married Darlene Ross at the Glens Falls Methodist Church.

Robert was employed by the Washington County Building and Grounds Department, and he was extremely proud of his position there.

His hobbies and interests included tinkering on cars, his tractor, putting up and enjoying Christmas decorations of all kinds and collecting old time radios.

In addition to his father, John Jones, he was predeceased by his step father, Goosie Groesbeck; and his step mother, Aggie Groesbeck.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Darlene (Ross) Jones of Hudson Falls; his mother, Jennie (Leach) of Hudson Falls; his children, Wanda Smith of Florida, Joreen Jones of Hudson Falls, Teresa Jones of Hudson Falls, Melissa Jones of Hudson Falls, Robert Jones of Hudson Falls, Kaylie Smith of Hudson Falls; his  brothers and sisters, Grace Starteri of Lake George, Jeff Jones of Glens Falls, Phil Jones of Glens Falls, Susan Gordon of Hudson Falls, Jennifer Jones of Warrensburg and Elaine Jones of Hudson Falls; 27 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, between 6-8 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

Bob’s family suggests that a donation in his name be made to a charity of one’s choice.

    I am sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences.
