HUDSON FALLS – Olga Race, 93, a longtime Hudson Falls resident. Went to the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2015, at the Indian River Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Granville
Born on September 16, 1921, in Thomas, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Mestek and Paula (Vozelj) Mestek Novak.
On July 20, 1947, she married Sheridan H. Race in Richmond, MA. He passed away on July 14, 2001.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Sheridan Race, a sister, Leta Suits, a brother, Emil Mestek and a half sister Louise Novak.
Survivors include her daughter in law Diana Race of Fort Edward; two grandsons, The Rev. Sheridan Race, II and his wife, Marcy, of Ticonderoga and Dana Race and his wife, Celine, of Royal Palm Beach, FL five great grandchildren, Austin, Jakob, Alexis, Caleb and Elizabeth; two nieces, Paula Biagini and Leta Jagielski one nephew Edward Suits.
All services are private at the convenience of the family.
Her family requests donations in her memory be made to the Ticonderoga Assembly of God Church, 32 Water St., Ticonderoga, NY 12883.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.
