Maureen J. Lukaszewicz

LukaszewiczHUDSON FALLS – Maureen Jude Lukaszewicz of River St. in Hudson Falls passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Born on June 5, 1967, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Sandra Lukaszewicz.

She loved animals; she also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling, bicycling, and going to the racetrack.

Maureen worked at The Pines in Glens Falls for the last 16 years as a Dietary Aide. She was a dedicated and hard worker.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Maureen helped care for both her parents in their last years.

She is survived by her siblings Bernie Lukaszewicz (Mary) of Lake Placid NY, Tim Lukaszewicz (Anita) of Merritt Island FL, Michael Lukaszewicz (Kim) of Kingsbury NY, Kelly Smith (Steve) of Odessa Fl, Kathy Prossick (Mark) of Odessa Fl, and Bridget Allister (Bill) of Mill Creek WA, her nephews Jeff Lukaszewicz, Robert Lukaszewicz, Justin Lukaszewicz, Matthew Lukaszewicz, and Royce Allister, her nieces Ashley Prossick, Brittany (Smith) Elliott,  Brenda Smith, and Megan Allister.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church, on the park, in Hudson Falls.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Burgoyne Avenue in the town of Fort Edward.

Maureen’s family would like to thank Glens Falls hospital staff and Home Health Aides for their care of Maureen.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 959 State Rte 9, Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, NY 12804.
