HUDSON FALLS – Mary Jane Packard, 95, formerly of Clark Street and the G. Roswell Earl High Rise, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Washington Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

 Born on January 22, 1919 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late James and Madeline (Perkette) Harsha.

Her husband, Alfred L. Packard died on November 3, 1972.

Mrs. Packard was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Brunelle.

Survivors include her two sons, James A. Packard and his wife, Mary Jane of Hudson Falls and Gregory A. Packard and his wife, Debbie of Brockport; her two daughters, Mary Lynne Morency and her husband, Michael of Hudson Falls and Ann Haynes and her husband, Tim of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Michael Packard and his wife, Nichole of Glens Falls, Lindsay Dashew and her husband, Jason of Delmar, Geoffrey Packard and his wife Chelsea of Union City, NJ, and Justin Packard and his wife, Sara of Boston; two great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

All service and burial will be private and at the convenance of the family.

The Rite of Committal will be at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

 We would like to wish a heartfelt thanks to the employees of Pleasant Valley Infirmary, now known of Washington Center, for the excellent care and treatment of our mother during the several years that she lived there.
