Mary E. Broderick

Broderick, MaryGLENS FALLS – Mary E. Broderick, 88, of Glens Falls, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at the Stanton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Queensbury, after a long illness.

Born on September 22, 1928, in Clinton Corners, she was the daughter of the late James and Clara (Bedell) Masterson.

Mary was married to her beloved husband, Joe Broderick, until his passing in 1985.

After her husband’s passing, she worked for many years at Sears.

Mary was a member of the Frist Presbyterian Church in Hudson Falls. She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Stockwell; and her brother, Clarence Masterson.

Survivors include, her four children, Joseph “Mike” Broderick of Fort Edward, Deborah A.McNeil and her companion, Ronald Corey of Salem, Kelly J. Broderick and his wife, Amanda of St. Augustine, FL, Craig T. Broderick and his wife, Molly of Woodstock, GA; her six grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, George Masterson of Saratoga Springs; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson Falls.

A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. at the Church following calling hours, with Reverend Michael Plank, pastor, officiating.

A burial will be private.

Donations in Mary’s name can be made out to The Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. 68 Main St., in Hudson Falls.

    We were friends years ago when she lived on County Line Road. Had many a luncheon together with a mutual friend and neighbor, Carol McQuate.
