Born on June 23, 1956, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Ruth (Antonsen) Dumas and the late Richard Dumas, Sr.
Mark was a graduate of South Glens Falls High in 1975 and following graduation, he began his journey across the country, driving tractor trailers. He drove for 30 years and loved every minute of it. In his younger years, Mark was a Boy Scout and a member of the Explorer Scouts. He was also a member of the Moreau Junior Squad and the Moreau Emergency Squad.
Mark enjoyed camping all over the Adirondacks and Pennsylvania with his friends. He also loved listening to almost all kinds of music, from classical to classic country.
Mark had a special place in his heart for his mother. He was a kind and giving son who would never refuse his mother anything. Mark also will be remembered for being a great friend to all and always putting other’s first.
