Marjorie E. Havern

Havern, MarjorieFORT ANN – Marjorie E. Havern, 83, of Fort Ann, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 2, 1934 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Keith and Elizabeth (Epps) Palmer.

For 28 years, Marjorie worked for Stroehman in Queensbury, where she made many friends.

She enjoyed getting out and meeting new friends at the Moreau Senior Center, where she volunteered at the thrift store and also created beautiful May baskets.

Marjorie loved spending time with her family, going to garage sales and spending summers at her camp at Caroga Lake.  She also enjoyed flowers, knickknacks and sweets.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, David Weaver, her sister, Patricia Gray and her beloved dog, Wally.

Survivors include her six children, Nancy (Hank) Crannell of Palatine Bridge, Sherry (Skip) Simonds of Palatine Bridge, Donna (Dan) Bombard of Hudson Falls, Debbie Ireland and her fiancé, Tom Neal of Fort Ann, Duke (Jolene) Shults of Lubec, Maine and Deann (Jim) Bucher of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Angie (Justin) Calkins, Matthew (Jessica) Crannell, Krista Mann, RJ (Nikki) Mann, Daniel (Desiree) Bombard, David Bombard, Tanner Ireland, Tyler Ireland, Amanda (James) Marchinkowski, Joseph (Lindsey) Shults, Joshua (Amanda) Bucher, Jonathan (Abby) Bucher and Tia (Will) Bucher, Spencer Neal and Connor Neal; eight beautiful great grandchildren, Kristina, Stephanie, Jack, Hadley, Logan, Liam, Colin and Nathan; brothers, John Palmer and Frank Palmer; and sister, Delores Fredenburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the spring at Moss Street Cemetery in the town of Kingsbury.

Marjorie’s family wishes to thank the Glens Falls Renal Dialysis Center for the loving care and compassion that they gave to their mother.

They also wish that donations be made to the Northeastern Kidney Foundation, 501 New Karner Road, #6, Albany, NY  12205.

    Sharon and I very sorry to hear about Marge. Marge always was very nice to me and i loved talking with her. Her and Wally are now riding together again. She will be at the lake this summer and always be loved by all who knew her. RIP Marge✌
