Lois E. Olden

OldenHUDSON FALLS – Lois E. Olden, 54, of John Street, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Albany Medical Center, with her family by her side.

Born on February 14, 1961 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Golda (Hammond) Olden.

Lois was a graduate of North Warren Central, class of 1979.

She loved going to garage sales and collected everything and anything that she bought.   Lois had a large collection of jewelry and dolphins, to name a few things.   She was loved by all her “adopted kids” and grandchildren.  Lois made everyone who walked through her doors, feel like family.   Her family which included her dogs, were the most important part of her life.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, which included beading with her kids and needlework.

Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by her life partner of 25 years, Jerry “Joe” Phillips, Donald Dubay, who was father of her beloved sons, her six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Craig Olden, Sr. and his wife, Sharon of Hudson Falls, Cody Olden and his partner, Sarah Shaw, also of Hudson Falls, Jillian Phillips-Turner of Glens Falls, Justine Phillips of Clifton Park and Donna Marie Moses of Schroon Lake; her 27 grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Hollis Olden, Sr. of Whitehall, Daniel Olden and his wife, Janet of Queensbury, David Olden and his wife, Diana of Bakers Mills, Royce Olden of Hudson Falls, Shirley Venner and her husband, William of Hartford and Kevin Olden and his wife, Cynthia of Warrensburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Monday, from 3 to 4 p.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 4 p.m., following the calling hour, on Monday at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to March of Dimes, 4 Computer Drive W, #201, Albany, NY 12205.
