FORT EDWARD – Lila G. Smith, 88, a longtime Prospect St. resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016.
Born on January 6, 1928, in Granville, she was the daughter of the late Maxie and Zedella (Howard) Daniels.
Her husband, John E. Smith, passed away before her.
Lila loved working in her yard.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by her siblings, Goldie Ives, Betty Corsall, Patricia Roberts and Donald Daniels.
Survivors include two brothers, Edward Daniels and his wife Patricia of South Glens Falls, Brian Daniels and his wife Marion of South Glens Falls; several nieces and nephews and two special nieces, Kim Nassivera and her significant other, Barry bowman of Fort Ann and Melanie Doty and her husband, Stephen of Fort Ann a special cousin, Carol Saladin and her husband, Ray of Fort Edward.
At Lila’s request, there are no public services.
Memorial donations in Lila’s memory may be made to the military organization of one’s choice.
