I am sadden to learn of Joe’s passing. He and his brother David grew up on Ernst Road along with my brother, Malcolm. Ernst Road was not paved in those days The stone wall on Ernst Road still hides the treasurer we tried to find. We learned to ride our bikes and spent time at the bridge on the Snookkill.

I shall always have wonderful memories of those days.

I am so saddened to read about Joe’s passing. I knew Joe from Toastmasters years ago. He was a wonderful member and a true gentleman, always friendly and helpful. The world has lost one of its fine citizens. I feel a personal loss even though I haven’t been in touch with him lately. The last time I saw him was at local store where we ran into each other. It was so good to see him. He was as good a listener as ever and friendly as ever. I’ve always felt that if I had to sell my house, I would seek his help. I had great confidence in him. I send heartfelt condolences to all his family. I wish I could tell him now how highly I thought of him. RIP, Joe.
    Sincerely, T. Joy Huott

I’m living in Florida now, and learned of Joe’s passing through the Post Star. I always considered Joe a friend of mine, and remember fondly the days he played chess with me and my son Jason. The three of us traveled to tournaments and had many laughs and good times. The last time we saw each other was at a golf course, and it felt like only a few days since we last connected. We will all miss him.

Joe Woutersz was my instructor when I took my entry level real estate course at SUNY Adirondack more than a decade ago. He was knowledgeable, compassionate and an excellent teacher. He brought a wonderful mix of experience, awareness and legal understanding to this learning experience. I am a better Realtor today because I started with Joe. I am a better person today because I knew him. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. Rest In Peace, my friend.
