Jeffrey E. “Spit” Yole

Yole, SpitHUDSON FALLS – Jeffrey E. “Spit” Yole, 55, of Main Street, joined his parents and nephew on April 6, 2017.

Born on September 8, 1961 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Patricia W. Yole.

Spit graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1980.

He was an accomplished mason in the area, who could be seen driving around town in his blue Chevy pickup.  Spit built many beautiful projects for those that trusted him with his skills.

Spit was the life of the party, who had many friends.  He loved going to Stewart’s to harass the girls.   Spit was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.   He was loved by his many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Ian Moreau.

Survivors include his siblings, Susan Kearns and her husband, Gerald of Fort Edward, Barbara Scherer and her husband, Hans of Glens Falls, Diane Yole of Hudson Falls, Thomas “TR” Yole and his wife, Mary of Queensbury, Patricia Barrett of Fort Ann, Lisa Webb of Minoa, Scott Yole of Texas and Mary Beth McCullen and her husband, William of South Glens Falls; 13 nieces and nephews; his uncle, Robert Yole and his wife, Helen of Hudson Falls; and many cousins.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.

    Please accept my sincere condolences. Spit was a real special guy and will be missed by many. I will never forget him standing in my Mom’s kitchen with a meat platter, after she died. He so genuinely cared that we ended up consoling him! What a sweet heart!

    My deepest regards for Spit’s family. I knew Spit through my Mom, Lucy, at the Wayside. He was a great guy!! He and others did a cement driveway for me quite a few years ago and it’s still holding up very well. He certainly was a master at his trade. I am in Florida so I will not be attending the services. I will remember how helpful he was and just an all around good person!! RIP Spit!!
