Emma Mary “Gramma B” (Cirino) Butto

HUButtoDSON FALLS – Emma Mary “Gramma B” (Cirino) Butto, 99, formerly of Coleman Avenue, passed away peacefully, with her daughter by her side, on Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Fort Hudson Nursing Center in Fort Edward.

 Born on November 21, 1913 in Steeltown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary A. and Antonio Cirino.

 Emma retired from Glens Falls Hospital at the age of 76, after 32 years of service.   At her retirement, she was secretary to the Director of Nursing.

 Emma has been an active member of the Hudson Falls Senior Citizens, enjoying weekly meeting and going on their trips.  She also loved traveling to see her two granddaughters and her great grandchildren.

 Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Anthony Cirino and his wife, Dorothy, Phillip Cirino and his wife, Laura, and William Cirino.

 Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Carlisle and her husband, Jeffrey of Hudson Falls; her two granddaughters, Kathleen Anne Phillips and her husband, William of Norfolk, VA and Mary Lynn McIntosh and her husband, Todd of Oceanside, CA; four great grandchildren, Zachary and Hailey McIntosh and Jack and Matthew Phillips; her sister in law, Evelyn Cirino of Glens Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

 Friends may call on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, from 4p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

 A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013,  at St. Mary’s/St.Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

 The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

The family suggests that memorial donations be sent to Fort Hudson Health Center, Activities Department, 319 Upper Broadway, Fort Edward, New York 12828.
