Emma L. Murray

MurraySARATOGA SPRINGS- Emma L. Murray, 95, of Saratoga Springs, formerly of Schenectady, died Friday, May 16, 2014, at Saratoga Hospital. In Saratoga Springs.

Born October 27, 1918, in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maude (Hunt) Sanders.

Emma was a cook at the Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs for many years and also worked at Sun Castle Restaurant in Pompano Beach, FL.

She was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church in Fort Miller.

In addition, to her parents, Mrs. Murray is predeceased by her husband, Donald, her seven sisters and her seven brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Paquet and her husband Fernand of Pennsylvania; her two sons, Jerry Emery and his wife Michele of Hudson Falls and Daniel Murray and his wife, Joanne of FL; her seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a special niece, Elsa Sanders of Queensbury.

There will be no calling hours.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at a time to be announced at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

Arrangements are in the care of Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.

Emma’s family request memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 959 Route 9, Mount Royal Plaza, Queensbury, NY 12804.

    I have had the pleasure of seeing Emma quite a bit this past year after moving into Embury Apartments. She and her nieces were early members of Heritage Hunters of Saratoga that I started 20 years ago and we have kept in touch over the years.
    Will miss visiting with her.
