Powers Edward retouchGLENS FALLS – Edward J. Powers, Sr, 81, of Glens Falls, passed away onThursday, January 11, 2018, at The Pines Healthcare Facility in Glens Falls.

Born on Dec. 2, 1936, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Edward A. and Lillian (Hamell) Powers.

Edward served in the United States Army and was a self-employed home decorator throughout the local area and was a member of American Legion Post 574 of Hudson Falls.

He is survived by his son, Edward J, Powers, Jr, of Hudson Falls;his former wife, Nancy Powers of South Glens Falls; his sister, Shirley West of Warrensburg; a brother Garry Powers of Lake George; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.

The Powers family would like to thank the staff at the Pines for Ed’s care during his stay there.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 main St., Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
