Born on April 17, 1943 in Fort Edward, he was the son of the late Edgar Maynard and Edith Maynard Fero

Ed is survived by his wife, Lorraine Bovair Maynard, whom he married on November 30, 1963. They shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.

As a young man, he worked for Queensbury Motors and Sperry Trucks.  In 2003, he retired from Finch Pruyn, after 33 years.

Ed belonged to the Hudson Falls Fish & Game Club, the Hudson Falls Pistol League, and was an Americade volunteer for 28 years.  He and his wife, Lorraine were longstanding members of the GWRRA (Gold Wing Road Riders Association) with Chapter J and most recently, Chapter N.

Staying true to his strong personality, he fought hard until the end.
