Douglas R. “Doug” Mulcahy

mulcahydougQUEENSBURY – Douglas R. Mulcahy, “Doug”, the youngest child of Robert E. Mulcahy and Marjorie Cooper Mulcahy, began and ended his life’s journey at Glens Falls Hospital.

He was born on March 4, 1957. He passed on to his reward on August 1, 2017, after a short and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer.

Doug was devoted to his family and friends. He will best be remembered for his zest for life and his fearless way of living it. He particularly loved riding his motorcycle and playing with his cat, Jack.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and his brother-in-law Robert G. Barker.

He is survived by his life companion Linda Rolleston, his sister Sally Barker and her companion Richard Berg, and his brother George J. Mulcahy.

There are no calling hours.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a celebration of life at the Elks lodge located on Cronin Road, in Queensbury, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at both the Charles R. Wood Cancer Center and Oncology floor at Glens Falls Hospital, 100 Park St., Glens Falls

Arrangements are under the direction of the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St., Hudson Falls.

    So sorry that Doug passed. He was a kind and friendly man. Prayers go out to Sally, George, Doug’s partner, Mrs Mulcahy and family. Many fond memories growing up with your family.
