Dianna “Di” Anderson (Stearns)

Anderson, DiannaHUDSON FALLS – Dianna “Di” Anderson (Stearns), 66, of Hudson Falls, passed away after a long hard fight with respiratory illness and heart failure on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born on August 23, 1950, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Allen “Baldy” Stearns and Lorena (Priest) Rogers. She was also predeceased by her step mother, Patricia Devino, whom she thought of as her mother.

Di was a 1967 graduate of Lake George High School. She received her cosmetology license from BOCES.

She was a hairdresser in Hudson Falls and Fort Edward, operating several shops in the area until her health declined in recent years.

Di enjoyed reading, and playing cards with her grandsons. She also enjoyed cooking, chatting, computer games, lawn sales, and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and step mother, Di was predeceased by her sister, Joann; and her two best friends, Ann Rabine and Paula Donnelly.

Survivors include, her daughter, Jami Pope of Granville; her son Bobby Stearns and his wife, Kimberly of Ballston Spa; her grandchildren, Brieanna and her husband, Owen, Brittany, Collin, Michael, Reese, Holdyn, Taylor, Deanna, Morgan, Kaitlyn, and Jasmine; her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jayden, Paisley, Jerimyah, and Tatiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; her brother, Keith Rogers; her special cousin and friend, Ann McGraw; her “adopted kids and their families,” Jeff and his wife, Amy, Shannon and her husband, Jack, Deniele and her husband, Brandon, John, Nicole, Rebecca, Leighann, Jonathon, Faith, April, Mike, as well as many others; and her two longtime best friends, Jackie Lansing and Joyce Sumner

Calling hours, with casual dress required, will take place on Monday, February 27, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. located at 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Burial service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Di’s name can be made to a charity of one’s own choice.

    We were such friends for years in school. I’m so sorry for the loss of such a sweet person. To Di’s family and friends, you were lucky to have had her in your lives. R.I.P.
