Diane J. McCarthy

McCarthy, DianeHUDSON FALLS – Diane J. McCarthy, 85, of Baker Street, passed away on Saturday October 21, 2017, at Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.

Born on August 17, 1932 Ft. Montgomery, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Stevens) Reynolds.

She had a wonderful marriage to Jack McCarthy, before he passed away in 1989.

Diane was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She was a wonderful cook.  Her five children were fortunate to come home from school to warm cookies.

She enjoyed T.V. games especially, Family Feud.    Friends and family always had to have her home to watch her favorite soaps, The Bold and The Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the center of her life. She cherished every moment spent with them.

Besides her parents and husband, Diane was predeceased by her three children, Karen Conklin, Kevin McCarthy and Virginia McCarthy; her three brothers, George, Wayne, and Lenny Reynolds; and her step daughter, Jeanne McCarthy.

Survivors include her children, Paul Rodriguez of TN and Denise Pacher of Hudson Falls; her step children, Carol Sprague and her husband, Darrin of N.J., and Mike McCarthy of Greenwich; her sister, Marjorie Rizzo of Washingtonville; her special daughter in law, Alice McCarthy; her grandchildren, Brittney and Courtney Celeste, Kevin McCarthy and his wife, Dani, Kirstie McCarthy, Jeremy McCarthy and Jeanne McCarthy; her great grandchildren, Kaylee and Sage Batcher, Shania Decker and Alaska McCarthy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A graveside service will follow the calling hours at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

    Oh boy where do I begin I’ve known u since I was 17 when I came into ur sons life u were a wonderful women and a heart of gold and u would do anything for anyone ma it’s gonna be hard and along road ahead but I’ll always love you forever and ever ma now ur with ginny Karen and Kevin who will keep u safe god got another angle in the sky I’ll always love u mom forever in a life time fly high MOM ❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️❤️

    We were sisters in law for 57 years and I have loved you like a sister for all of those years. You were the apple of George’s eye and we always felt so happy spending time with you. Thank you for being in our lives, I will never forget your sweetness and I will miss hearing your voice. Rest in peace.
