David “UNK” Plude

Plude, David - Keep bike in photoQUEENSBURY – David “UNK” Plude, 71, of Queensbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends, on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

Born on March 12, 1946, in Buffalo, he was the son of the Late Guyle and Evelyn Jane (Gandrow) Plude.

David was employed by Native Textiles in Glens Falls for over 35 years.

He enjoyed camping, cards, sports, fishing. He was an avid Yankee and Giants fans. Most of all he enjoyed riding his three-wheeled bicycle, and stopping to visit friends. He was a likeable soul who always wanted to make people laugh.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his three brothers, Guyle Plude, Frances Plude, and Albert Plude; his sisters, Joan Pond, and Carol Hurley.

Survivors include, his two brothers, Richard Plude and his wife, Fran of Whitehall, John Plude and his wife, Carol of Queensbury; his sisters, Linda Eggleston and her husband, Jack of Dresdon, Bonnie Plude and her companion, Robert Anderson of Hudson Falls; several beloved nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews; and his many friends, who he thought of as family. He is also survived by his baby boy, Jester the Cat.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. located at 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Prayers will immediately follow calling hours at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Donations in David’s name may be made out to High Peaks Hospice, 79 Glenwood Ave, Queensbury, NY, 12804, or a charity of one’s choice.

    Loved this guy. He would often stop me on my rounds as a mailman and chat about the weather, where he was headed next etc. I’d see him all over on my route. I will miss our passing chats . my condolences are offered as well to all.
