Connie A. Coughlin

Coughlin, ConnieHUDSON FALLS – Connie Anne Coughlin, 56, of Hudson Falls, went to join her sister Linda and her Mother, Lee, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

Born on February 14, 1961, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of  Douglas Coughlin of Hudson Falls and the late Eola “Lee” Duprey.

Connie was a graduate of the Hudson Falls High School Class of 1979.  She then furthered her education at Binghamton University, earning her Nursing Degree.

Connie served as a nurse for many years at Emma Lang Stevens and for almost 30 years as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, where she saw the world.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.

Connie loved horses, casinos and watching her son play sports.  She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Red Sox Fan.  Connie loved her pool and spending time in her back yard.  most of all, Connie loved her family and friends.

In addition to her mother and sister, she was predeceased by her Aunt Alice.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Ficarrotta and his fiancé, Moira Nolan of Queensbury; her beloved granddaughter and the apple of her eye, Fiona “Baby Girl” Ficarrotta, her nephew, John O’Hara and his companion, Jenny Zeno of Hudson Falls; her father, Douglas Coughin and his wife, Barb of Hudson Falls; and her beloved fiancé, Dan Rouse of Hudson Falls; and several cousins.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church on the park in Hudson Falls.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

Memorial donations may be sent to The Breast Cancer Research charity of your choice.

    I attended school, played sports and graduated from HFHS with Connie. She always had high energy and a big smile! Ambitious, compassionate and friendly, it was a perfect fit that she would choose nursing and the airlines as professions. I enjoyed following posts about her travels and her family. Connie was a bright light in the world. My condolences to her family. Rest In Peace, friend.

    Connie was my rebel sister and dear friend at Delta Air Lines. She always had an ear for me and a story to make you laugh. And she LOVED her family. She talked about everyone that its as if I know them all,LOL! And she was so feisty! I miss you girlfriend and my condolences to her family:

    Oh how I loved Connie! When I started flying for Delta in 1999 in Cincinnati, Connie befriended me! She had an infectious laugh for sure! We knew everything about her son and her nephew. Her schedule was built around their sports and activities. She spoke so highly of her Dad. When Delta stopped flying from upstate NewYork to Cincinnati, Connie transferred to Atlanta! Last Friday I was working and my thoughts led me to a special flight I flew with
