Charlotte K. Hart

HartHUDSON FALLS – Charlotte K. Hart, 87, of Lower Main Street, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home, Tuesday, April 26, 2016, after a battle with cancer.

Born November 1, 1928 in Colchester(Burlington), VT, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Dorothy (Dragon) Bigelow.

Charlotte was a graduate of Whitehall High School.

On May 25, 1957, she married Jack Hart in Whitehall.

Charlotte worked for Economy Dry Goods, Inc., for over 20 years, as a registered buyer and seller of stores.  She then worked for General Electric in Fort Edward for over 30 years as an instructor.

Charlotte was a communicant of St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church in Hudson Falls.  The most important part of her life was her family.

Besides her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Jack Hart.

Survivors include her brother, Gene Bigelow of Hudson Falls; her sister, Shirley Austin of South Glens Falls; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Friday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, following the calling hour, at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Thomas Babiuch, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow the service, at Pine View Cemetery in the town of Queensbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Charlotte may be made the Fort Edward Rescue Squad, Inc., P.O. Box 226, Fort Edward, New York 12828, or the Glens Falls Association for the Blind, 144 Ridge St., Glens Falls, New York 12801.
