To John, Terry and your younger brothers. I was saddened to learn of my friend Carl’s passing. During my years in Hudson Falls Carl and Joan were very dear friends and my many instances of association with them are fond memories for me. Carl was the greatest sports FAN I ever knew and his support for sports at all levels was extraordinary. Along with supporting his own sons he was a huge supporter of the Greenjacket Football Team during my almost 40 years of association as player and GM. Our social activities were filled with many hilarious escapades and Carl could always be counted on to provide a hearty laugh or entertaining action. I hope to recall some of these events during my time in HF this Summer. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. We have lost a great man. Jim Willig, Sierra Vista, AZ

To Dave, Danny, John, Jeff, Terry and all the Barton Family…It is with great sadness that I write this. Your father has worn many hats over the years that I have known him First he was the wonderful neighbor and friend of the family, always with a smile and a helping hand. I can’t even count the number of times he walked across the street to give my dad a hand with some sort of electrical project/problem. When I moved back into my grandmothers house four years ago, he wore the hats of a neighbor, a friend and a father figure. He always seemed to be looking out for me and worry that I was doing too much or shouldn’t be working with certain tools, etc. I will sorely miss him, especially come spring seeing him outside in his flower garden and vegetable garden and our many chats as we spent time outside. My love and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow. God Bless you all. It has been a real honor for me to have known your father all these years, from childhood to adulthood. Know that he was blessed and that you are all blessed to have had him as a father/dad/father-in-law/grandfather and great-grandfather. He has touched many lives and hearts during his life, I know he did mine .
