Adelaide Jarvis

JarvisPCGANSEVOORT- Adelaide Jarvis , 80, has gone to be in the arms of her loving husband , Clarence,. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family and beloved dog, Duke, after a long illness .

Born on October 25,1933 in Glens Falls , she was the daughter of the late Girard & Margaret Donnahie.

On November 24, 1948, she married Clarence D. Jarvis at the St Joseph’s Rectory in Fort Edward. Adelaide was a member of the St Paul’s Parish in Hudson Falls, along with her husband.

She enjoyed camping, bingo, scratch-offs, her daily numbers and spending quality time with her family & friends.

Adelaide was predeceased by her parents Girard & Margaret, her loving husband Clarence, her brothers Hollis and Bernard, her sister, Betty Smith and great granddaughter, Kayla Bain.

Survivors include her children, Nathan “Nick” Jarvis and his wife, Cindy of Hudson Falls, and their two children, Janet Bosley and her husband, Jim, Cindy Raych and her husband, Howard , Barbara A. Combs and her husband, Roger of Warrensburg, and her three children, Donald Crosse, Jr., Judy Robbins and her husband, Jay, Addey Menegan, Judy Gorton and her partner Kevin Gray, and her son, Steve Gorton and his wife, Melissa, Frederick Jarvis Sr. and his wife, Marion of Gansevoort and their five kids, Tina Gleason, Tonya Foster, Marion Kiblign and her husband, John, Fred Jarvis, Jr. and his wife, Darci, Jason Jarvis and his wife, Heather, Clarence Jarvis and his wife, Debbie of Gansevoort, and their three children, Tabatha Jarvis, Amy Ginac and her husband, Jay, Myles Jarvis, Grace Potter of Glens Falls, and her five children, Casey Imire and her partner, Chris Mason, Christopher Imire, Andrew Potter and his wife, Tesha, Megan Potter, Katlyn Potter, John Jarvis of Gansevoort; 30 ½ great grandchildren; her sisters, Alice Kincade and her husband, Robert Kincade of Georgia, Dorothy Hall and her husband, Bill of Johnstown; her brothers, Fred Donnahie of Nevada , George Donnahie of North Creek; her very close family members, Lester & Jan LaPan, Sr of Hudson Falls , Shirley & Jim McDougall of Argyle, Donnie & Marie Jarvis of Gansevoort.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the Carleton Funeral 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow St Paul’s Cemetery in Kingsbury.

Adelaide and her family would like to thank her long time physician, Dr. Beaty and Sharon Shannon and the hospice nurses and everyone who has sent thoughts, prayers and love during this difficult time

    May you rest in peace now gram I have so many good memmories I will never forget you tell my grampa I love an miss him and so glad you two have been reunited again enjoy all thsr camping and fishing and painless days of just watching down on us and tell my cuz kayla I wish I could have known the beautiful person she was love to you all untl we are reunited again some day

    We are sorry to hear about Aunt Adelaide. It brought back a lot of good memories of long ago. We will miss her very much even though we had not seen her in a while.
