WOODGRIDGE. VA – Judith Lenore Steele, 59, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away in her residence on Friday, April 19, 2013.

She was born on July 1, 1953, in Glens Falls, New York to the late Clarence Wood and Eleanor Terry Green and is survived by her beloved step-father Stanley R. Green, Sr. 

Ms. Steele traveled throughout the United States following her marriage to Robert Douglas Steele, Jr. who was in the Navy and retired in Virginia.  She enjoyed her work in new home sales, cooking, bowling and playing bingo and cards.  She adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Kaiser and her husband Christopher of Nokesville, Virginia, Michael Steele and his fiancée Janie Reed of Manassas, Virginia, Jennifer Clements and her husband Douglas of Moyock, North Carolina, Jessica McAdams and her husband Matthew of Triangle, Virginia, Matthew Steele, Sr. and his wife Kate of Lynchburg, Virginia, Adam Steele and Jacob Steele both of Woodbridge, Virginia; her sisters, Sandy Wood of Woodbridge, Virginia, Mary Mills of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Susan Heiser of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Kelly (Green) Wells of Mansfield, Massachusetts; her brother Stanley Green, Jr. of Wilton, New York; her extended sisters Vicki Goodspeed of S. Glens Falls, New York and Colleen Bourdeau of Corinth, New York; her grandchildren, Bryana Kaiser, Emma Kaiser, Noelle Kaiser, Chase Kaiser, Gwenyth Reed, Zachery Steele, Gabriel Steele, Sophia Steele, Colby Clements, Isabella Taylor, Cloey Taylor, Kyleigh Clements, Brendan Dunn, Noah McAdams, and Matthew “Ryan” Steele, Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Gathering from 1 until 3 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main Street, Hudson Falls, New York.

A Memorial Service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
